February 27, 2007 : Congratulations to the Tupelo, Mississippi region (Blue Springs) for winning the Toyota "Wellspring" project - a new North American automotive assembly plant that will manufacture the Toyota Highlander model starting in 2010.  This $1.3 billion project to produce 150,000 vehicles per year is expected to employ 2000 people directly, plus any related suppliers or other companies which may be attracted to the region by this major development.
